Today was the first day I've almost ever fainted. At least I was already at the doctor's office.

I still have the scar from when I was vaccinated against it. Big oozing pussy scab on my left shoulder for six weeks, and then a big ugly scar. Fuuuuun.

Yeeeeep. Now it's just a bruise, but it was disgusting earlier.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH GROSS. I wasn't vaccinated against it; they were just like "IF THIS GETS INFLAMED, WE'LL HAVE TO RUN MORE TESTS."

The vaccination here is free and mandatory unless your parents opt you out of it. They give it in school when you're fifteen. The six prick test to see whether you need vaccinating was what made everyone nervous. They rub a gel on your arm and then use a kind of stamp with six needles hidden inside it which they smack you with where they've put the gel on. If the swelling has gone down within a week, you get the jab.

It took them three attempts to give me the jab because the person doing it was an amateur. It hurt like a motherfucker. I am now deathly afraid of needles. (These facts are connected.)

I was so close to passing out. My vision started swimming and at first I was just like "lol light headed" but then it started getting dark.

I felt like such a girl :(

Because I was in France when it happened. :( lmfao we were at Versailles and I went to sit down. Then my vision started blurring, and my ears were ringing, and before I knew it, I was on the ground. /DOESN'T DO WELL IN HEAT.

It actually wasn't so bad. There really wasn't any pain during the whole matter. I could FEEL everything, but no pain. Like. I could feel him cutting through the gum (it felt really weird) and drilling things and yanking on the tooth and all that, but it really didn't hurt at all.

BUT THE SHOTS OHMYGOD so much pain

Yeah, same. I had four teeth pulled and it didn't exactly hurt, but I could still feel the pressure. Even if it didn't really hurt, it was still extremely unpleasant.

lol I got three shots under my tongue because the first two wouldn't work.

Mine surprisingly wasn't bad! I was just like "ow" and then it was over. No bruising! But then again, my nurse was awesome.

The varicella was the worst. You never know how vulnerable the fat on the back of your arm is until they give you a shot. Bruised like a motherfucker and creeped me out.

No wait. HPV was the worst cause it BURNS but that was a while ago.

Mine was old and a bit sketchy. I only have a small bruise now, but it was so disgusting when it first bubbled up.

I don't think I got that one? If I did, I don't remember. Hopefully my college doesn't require it.

Mine never bubbled up! It was just a small red mark. Do you mean it bubbled up after, or during the shot?

And the varicella is chicken pox. They're recommending two vaccinations now (so I got the second, the first was in 96) if you aren't immune.

During the shot and a little while afterward. It was a BUBBLE OF FLUID under my skin. So gross.

Oooohhh. I'm pretty sure I'm immune, since I got the first shot and Jeri slept in my bed while she has Shingles and I didn't get it.

And no, that just means you've had the first shot, which used to be all you needed. You're only considered immune if you can prove that you've already had the chicken pox.
